Outlook Connector
I'll admit it. While I
have Microsoft's Outlook, I don't use
it. I rely upon the e-mail manager
within TOP PRODUCER and have been quite
pleased with it. One of the reasons is
that I previously used the services of
Comcast Cable in Maryland. When I went
to send my monthly newsletter using
Outlook and Comcast's mail server, they
balked at sending out my newsletter.
Seems that they wanted to increase my
monthly fee (significantly) due to the
volume of subscriptions. But, the
limitations placed by TOP PRODUCER's
mail servers were less restrictive. So,
I switched to using the outgoing mail
servers within TOP PRODUCER's e-mail
manager.
But, some REALTORS really
like MS Outlook, are already familiar
with it, and have lots of history stored
within the product. Therefore, they
desire to continue with this product.
They may also have an e-mail address
book within Outlook which they want to
keep. If this is your desire, Outlook
Connector can help.
TOP PRODUCER Systems,
Inc. offers the TOP PRODUCER Outlook
Connector, a module which integrates TOP
PRODUCER and your Microsoft Outlook. It
permits you to both use e-mail addresses
from within your Contacts Records within
TOP PRODUCER (no second address book
required), and link your incoming and
outgoing e-mail messages to your
client's Contact Record's History File
(TP7i) / Completed Activities (TP 8i).
If this sounds like
something you might want to do, I have
the following suggestions (in addition
to subscribing to the TOP PRODUCER
Outlook Connector):
a. Export your current
Outlook Address Book to a .csv formatted
file.
b. Once exported, pull
this data into TOP PRODUCER using the
appropriate import tool (see
www.TopProducerCampus.com, looking
for import instructions)
c. Once imported, delete
duplicates within TOP PRODUCER (see
instructions in next paragraph).
f. Link your previously
sent and received e-mails back into TOP
PRODUCER from within Outlook
