[ CLASS NOTES: Generally,
this would be the first of multiple messages, probably
three or four, which are designed to keep your potential
client 'on the hook' until you are able to call and
qualify the individual. Since they may provide their
information over a long weekend, in case you are not
working, you want the machine to send out multiple
messages, one day apart, to keep them interested in your
services. This is done by developing two Lead Plans
(one buyer, one seller), which specifies that these
messages plus a qualifying telephone call are scheduled.
You schedule the plan through the use of Auto Apply
Plan Rules found under the Calendar menu. A call is
scheduled for day 0 in your plan, while messages are
scheduled for days 0, 1, 2, & 3. If you don't contact
them by telephone, your call continues to roll over into
the next day's activities.
Therefore, if your lead makes
an inquiry Friday night, they get an immediate message
response, and even if you don't call until Monday, they
will have also received a message on Saturday, Sunday,
and Monday. Your first message may be a simple "Thank
You" for their inquiry, the second a biography, the
third information about your company, and the fourth
information about your services as either a seller's or
buyer's representative.
Once you qualify the client,
you might choose to discontinue to balance of the plan.
Therefore, if the lead arrives on Tuesday evening and
you call on Wednesday morning, you might turn off the
plan so that the last two e-mails are not delivered.
You then determine what action you should take relative
to the lead and whether they should be placed on another
Action Plan of some sort. ]
